The Reverse Proxy Server in Cloud Protection Configurations
In cloud protection gateway configurations, the PerspecSys PRS Server acts as a forward proxy providing the main privacy, residency, and security services for accessing cloud applications and data from inside an organization’s firewall.
Complementing the forward proxy PRS Server, the PRS Reverse Proxy is an optional configuration that allows more flexibility for users, particularly remote users, to access cloud SaaS applications easily. The solution can be deployed behind an organization’s firewall, eliminating the need to insert it in their forward proxy chain, or it can be installed in a DMZ, so that remote or mobile users can access it without having to use a VPN connection.

The PRS Reverse Proxy adds a powerful dimension to the security aspects of cloud data protection. For any organization with a sophisticated internet access infrastructure, it helps mitigate many of the risks associated with cloud security, including phishing attacks, unauthorized external access, and denial of service attacks.
The PRS Reverse Proxy enhances cloud security to ensure that only authorized users can access the cloud application from the enterprise, regardless of where the users (and data) are located.
